Europe and Dow rebounded strongly last
night. Dow +323 closing at 15126. Dow is seeing a break up from the
recent downtrend. Dow's future is now +9. Europe opened up.
Asian bourses were mostly up. Nikkei
+210, ShanghaiC +37, Hangseng +267. STI closed +10 at 3180. Volume
was 3.2b shares. Gainers were 275 to 234 losers.
Trend of STI is up.
Top volumes were YHM +0.3, AdvSCT unchanged,
Sunmoon +0.1, Innopac-0.3, Ipco unchanged, SingHaiyi +0.1, HanKore -0.1,
Mermaid +1.5, Albedo -0.1, ChinaNTown +0.9.
After a strong Dow last night market
opened +24 but closed at day low though still positive. Blue chips were
mostly up but penny and speculatives were weaker. This is probably due
to a Friday and punters are clearing positions.
Europe and Dow are looking steady for
tonight with the govt shut down getting a reprieve for a month.
