Daily Summary 16 Jun 14

Europe were down on Friday but Dow closed +42 at 16777.  Dow's short term trend is down. Dow's future is now -26.  Europe opened down.

Asian bourses were mixed.  Nikkei -165, ShanghaiC +15, Hangseng -1.  STI closed -3 at 3290.  Volume was 1.7b shares.  Gainers were 179 to 279 losers.  

Short term trend of STI is flat.

Top volumes were Transcu +0.1, Sunmoon +0.1, NextGenj +0.1, Ouhua +0.7, Youyue +3.3, Armarda +0.1, Captii +0.6, CommDesign +1.8, AsiaFashion +1.5, Matex +0.8.

Market opened flat and traded in a very tight range throughout the day. Volume was below 2 billion shares. The effect of the World Cup is kicking in. Blue chips were seeing more losers. The play on penny and speculatives is still on with the top 40 stocks in volume still green. As for blue chips, it is looking like a selling phase.

Europe and Dow are looking weaker at the moment.
