Dow and Europe were up last night. Dow
+129 at 16956. Dow's trend is up. Dow's future is now +16. Europe
opened up.
Asian bourses were mostly up. Nikkei
+44, ShanghaiC +9, Hangseng +359. STI closed +17 at 3260. Volume
was 2.2b shares. Gainers were 276 to 176 losers.
Trend of STI is still down but flattening.
Top volumes were Jaya -15.4, Blumont
+0.7, Artivision +2.3, RHPetrogas +13, APAC +0.2, SIIC +0.5, Vibrant -0.2,
ICP unchanged, SwingMedia +0.2, Memstar unchanged.
Market opened slightly up and continued
to firm up by late morning. It closed near day high. Blue chips were mostly
higher. Penny and speculatives were also doing well. Jaya Holding
fell from 19.5 to 4c after the capital reduction and redistribution exercise.
Big gainer in small and mid cap is RH PetroGas gaining 13c from 72c.
Dow and Europe are looking steady at
the moment.
