Europe were up last night but Dow closed
-3 at 17084. Dow's trend is still up. Dow's future is now flat. Europe
opened down.
Asian bourses were mixed. Nikkei
+173, ShanghaiC +22, Hangseng +75. STI closed -4 at 3350. Volume
was 1.6b shares. Gainers were 243 to 236 losers.
Trend of STI is up.
Top volumes were Alliance Mineral IPO
closed at .365, Memstar -0.1, Xpress -0.2, Spackman -1, APAC unchanged,
Tritech +0.5, MagnusEnergy +0.2, IHC unchanged, Jiutian +0.3, SIIC unchanged.
STI was marginally up on opening but
slid down through the day on the eve of a long weekend. It managed to close
off its low of 3338. Blue chips were mixed but banks saw profit taking
after the recent gains. OCBC started to recover as a lagger. Penny and
speculatives were mixed with some selling for the weekend.
Europe and Dow are looking slightly
weaker at the moment.
