Dow and Europe were firmly down last
night. Dow -317 closing at 16563. Trend of Dow is down. This could be the
beginning of a sharp fall. Dow's future is now -53. Europe
opened sharply down.
Asian bourses were down. Nikkei
-98, ShanghaiC -16, Hangseng -224. STI -30 at 3344. Volume
was 1.8b shares. Gainers were 134 to 338 losers.
STI is still trending up but facing
a first fall in this run up.
Top volumes were Jaya +0.4, APAC +0.3,
Polaris +0.4, AccordiaGolf IPO 85c. Xpress unchanged, IHC -0.5, GoldenAgr
unchanged, TopGlobal -0.1, SIIC -0.5.
STI gapped down on opening and slipped
down further to close -30. Blue chips were mostly down. Penny stocks
and speculatives too were mostly weaker.
Dow and Europe are looking pretty weak
at the moment.
