European bourses were sharply down last night but dow closed +228 at 16379. Trend of Dow is trying to reverse up but looking sideways at this level. Dow's future at the moment is -171. European bourses opened down.
Asian bourses were mostly down. Nikkei -94, ShanghaiC -105, Hangseng -297. STI cllosed -16 at 2629. Volume was 2.1b shares. Gainers were 153 to 293 losers.
Trend of STI is down.
Top volumes were Annica unchanged, LiongGold -0.1, LuzhouBioChem -0.3, Noble -1, ChinaSports -0.2, Tigerair +0.5, Ezra -0.4, MFSTech +0.6, SingTel +6, Spackman -2.9.
STI iopened up but quickly retreated to flat for the main part of the morning session. It fell to negative after lunch and stayed slightly down for the rest of the session, closing near day low. The early gains by blue chips were reversed in the afternoon and most were in the red. There were more losers than gainers in the overall market.
European bourses and Dow's future are in the red at this moment.
