Europe closed down last week but Dow still managed to gain 13 points to close at 17516. Trend of Dow is still turning down. Dow's future at the moment is +70. European bourses closed for Easter.
Asian bourses closed mixed. Nikkei -132, ShanghaiC -22, Hangseng -290. STI closed -17 at 2831. Volume was 2.6b shares. Gainers were 204 to 228 losers.
Trend of STI is down.
Top volumes were Annica -0.1, OKH +1, Magnus +0.1, ParksonRetail +3.3, Ezra +0.2, ChinaEnv +1, RexIntl +1.9, Sysma +2.3, Halcyon +1, ForiseIntl unchanged.
STI opened slightly up but started to slip to negative in late morning. It fell further and stayed negative for the rest of the session to close near day low. Blue chips were mostly red by end of the session. The general market was slightly weaker. Oil related stocks held their grounds with firmer oil prices.
Europe closed tonight. Dow's future is positive at the moment.
