Europe closed slightly up last night while Dow +118 closing at 17891. The fall of Dow's short term trend the last two days is stopped by yesterday's gain. Dow's future is now -99 at this moment. European bourses opened down.
Asian bourses were mostly down. Nikkei -519, ShanghaiC +55, Hangseng -390. STI closed -27 at 2811. Volume was 1.1b shares. Gainers were 178 to 278 losers.
Trend of STI is down.
Top volumes were QTVascular -0.2, Noble -3, NOL +1, Ezra -0.3, Spackman +0.2, SingTel -3, AllianceMineral unchanged, ThaiBev -1.5, GoldenAgri -2, RexIntl -0.5.
STI opened slightly up but slipped down quickly to stay negative for the rest of the session. It closed at day low with Europe opening weak. Blue chips were mostly in the red. The general market was down. The trend is looking weak at this stage.
