Europe closed mixed last night while Dow ended -46 at 18480. Dow's early attempt to trend up is faltering. Dow's future is -36 at this moment. European bourses opened down.
Asian bourses closed mixed. Nikkei +7, ShanghaiC -17, Hangseng +180. STI closed -23 at 2871. Volume was 1.7b shares. Gainers were 165 to 219 losers.
The uptick in STI's trend is falling off.
Top volumes were Ezra -0.3, Noble +0.2, Magnus unchanged, Addvalue +0.3, RexIntl +0.1, Ezion +0.5, Ausgp +0.1, ResourcesPrima +0.1, ThaiBev -0.5, QTVascular -0.4.
STI opened down and stayed down for the whole session. It closed off its day low with some short covering in the last half hour of trading. Blue chips were mostly in the red. The general market was also weaker for the long weekend.
Europe and Dow's future at the moment are slightly down.
