Asian bourses closed mostly up. Nikkei -100, ShanghaiC +17, Hangseng +40. STI closed +11 at 3077. Volume was 3.1b shares. Gainers were 279 to 183 losers.
Trend of STI pointing up slightly.
Top volumes were Noble +0.8, Vallianz +0.4, IHC +0.7, Artivision -0.1, SinoCloud +0.1, Equation -0.1, NicoSteel +0.1, KLW -0.1, GKE +0.5, Serrano -1.
STI opened marginally up. It moved up further in the morning session but pulled back in the last hour to close off its day high. It was positive for the whole session. Blue chips were mostly up. The general market was up.
