European bourses and Dow were firmly down last night. Dow closed -274 at
21751. Trend of Dow is going back down. European bourses opened down.
Asian bourses closed mostly down. Nikkei -232, ShanghaiC +1, Hangseng
-297. STI closed -9 at 3260. Volume was 1.8b shares. Gainers were 169 to
215 losers.
Trend of STI is going down.
Top volumes were Rowsley -0.2, Addvalue +0.1, BestWorld +16, ThaiBev
unchanged, HLH -0.1, Jiutian -0.2, CapitalMallTrust +1, NetLinkTr -0.5, AA
unchanged, SingTel -1.
STI opened down and stayed down most of the day. It recovered around lunch
time to unchange but slipped back down by mid afternoon. It closed at about
mid point from the day's high and low.
Blue chips were mixed but the general market was slightly weaker.
