European bourses were flat or marginally down last night. Dow closed +9 at
23548. Trend of Dow is still looking up. European bourses opened up.
Asian bourses were mostly firmly up. Nikkei +389, ShanghaiC +27, Hangseng
+398. STI closed +26 at 3408. Volume was 2.7b shares. Gainers were 232
to 175 losers.
Trend of STI is up.
Top volumes were QTVascular +0.1, SinoCloud +0.1, Rowsley +0.5, Jiutian
+0.1, CWXGlobal +0.1, Vallianz +0.1, AlliedTech -0.1, Genting +3.5, AA
unchanged, Ausgroup +0.2
STI opened slightly up and by 10am it was up by more than 30 points. It
reached a high of +35 before sliding down slightly to close at +25. Blue
chips were marginally weaker. The general market was much firmer. The index
was pulled up mainly by the banks.
